Abstract

By shooting a beam of helium ions at a continuously deposited surface of dodecahdrane, C 20 H 20, we can incorporate a helium atom into the molecular cage, where it remains trapped. The experiment produces ∼100 μg/h of C 20 H 20, doped at levels up to 0.01%.
