Abstract

We show that if the Banach-Mazur distance between an <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n n </inline-formula> -dimensional normed space <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> X X </inline-formula> and <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> ℓ ∞ n \ell _\infty ^n </inline-formula> is at most <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> 3 / 2 3/2 </inline-formula> , then there exist <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n + 1 n+1 </inline-formula> equidistant points in <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> X X </inline-formula> .
