Abstract

Four cases of Pronestyl-induced lupus erythematosus are presented to demonstrate the typical chest manifestations encountered in such cases. Radiographic findings include pleural and pericardial effusions with associated basilar infiltrates and atelectasis. Although these findings are nonspecific, an awareness of this syndrome should facilitate earlier diagnosis and prevent unnecessary treatment and further diagnostic studies.
