Effect of environment on radiation-induced out diffusion of deuterons and protons from crystalline LiNbO_{3} at low temperatures

Abstract

Hydrogenic species (protons and deuterons) are removed efficiently from single crystals of ${\mathrm{LiNbO}}_{3}$ during electron irradiation in vacuum near room temperature. Irradiation in air produces no significant change in the concentration of the hydrogenic species.
