Measurement of acoustic intensity using the cross-spectral density of two microphone signals

Abstract

A technique is presented for evaluating the acoustic-intensity vector in an arbitrary environment by measuring the imaginary part of the cross-spectral density between the output signals from two closely spaced, pressure microphones.
