Synthesis of 1,8‐Bridged Anthraquinones The 1,8‐position of the anthraquinone system has been bridged by nucleophilic aromatic substitution of 1,8‐dichloroanthraquinone with 1,ω‐dithiolates, without using high dilution methods. Crown ether systems of type 4 are also obtained by this method.
