Structurally Diverse and Dynamically Versatile Benzylic Amide [2]Catenanes Assembled Directly from Commercially Available Precursors

Abstract

Deliberate tuning of the dynamic properties of benzyl amide [2]catenanes such as 1 – 3 is possible by altering steric and electronic factors. The synthesis of these compounds and their characterization are described.
