Abstract

Cesium-137 chloride and ferric cyanoferrate(II) were administered by gastric tubes to rats. Retention of /sup 137/Cs was assayed by whole-body counting. Results show that ferric cyanoferrate(II) has a pronounced suppressing effect on enteral /sup 137/Cs absorption. Therapeutic applicability of this finding is indicated. (H.M.G.)
