Kummer structures on a K3 surface: An old question of T. Shioda

Abstract

We show that for an arbitralily high number N, there is an algebraic K3 surface X which admits N mutually non-isomorphic Kummer surface structures. We apply our earlier results on Fourier-Mukai partners to answer definitively a question of T. Shioda 25 years ago.
