Stereoselective Synthesis of Trisubstituted Olefins

Abstract

In reviewing stereoselective methods for the synthesis of trisubstituted olefins, those factors which influence the stereoselectivity of the reaction are particularly emphasized. Where possible, the utility of these methods is illustrated with examples taken from syntheses of natural products.
