Translating the Results of Randomized Trials into Clinical Practice

Abstract

Our findings suggest that many elderly patients at high risk for stroke may not be optimal candidates for anticoagulant therapy. There is a pressing need for alternative stroke prevention strategies for this expanding patient population.
