Abstract

Sixty-one patients with ocular hypertension (1 17 eyes) were followed up for I to 11 years (average 40 7 months). Ten patients (12 eyes) developed visual field defects and optic disc lesions of glaucomatous type ( 10 2 %). Their average age was lower than the average of the sample, and the defect appeared between 1 and 5 years (average 41 3 months).
