Abstract

When large epicardial coronary arteries are deprived of blood flow, followed by reperfusion in this model, neutrophils migrate into the vessel wall as well as into the microvasculature. These abnormalities are associated with reduced endothelial-dependent and endothelial-independent coronary vasodilator reserve.
