Abstract

The design and test results of the collector assembly intended for recording electron beams of sub-nanosecond duration are presented. The collector assembly features a passband of up to 12 GHz and is capable of transmitting slightly-distorted voltage pulses with a half-height duration longer than ∼50 ps. The collector assembly was used to detect current pulses of a subnanosecond-duration electron beam generated in a gas-filled diode.
