FDG PET has been used in the evaluation of a variety of malignancies. The application of using FDG-PET in the assessment of infection and inflammation is gaining support and enthusiasm. There has been a report of FDG-PET detection of symptomatic acute cholecystitis. We present a case of asymptomatic chronic cholecystitis detected incidentally by FDG-PET.
