Abstract

The instability and tendency to disproportionate of organometallic compounds of Group 13 metal-d-metal complexes were countered by adjusting the donor/acceptor properties of the metal centers. Now nothing prevents the use of this class of compounds in layering processes or the development of its chemistry. A large number of alanes, gallanes, and indanes related to 1 (M  Fe, L  Cp, n  2) that are volatile without decomposition were prepared.
