LINICAL CLASSIFICATION OF MALIGNANT DIS-C ease, to be useful, should be relatively simple and should yield meaningfui information as to prognosis. T h e basic difficulty in clinical staging of any primary malignant tumor is human error in describing the primary lesion and in evaluating the regional lymph nodes and distant metastases.
