Do Climatic or Institutional Factors Drive Seasonal Patterns of Tourism Visitation to Protected Areas across Diverse Climate Zones in Eastern Australia?

Growth in demand for natural area tourism over the past two decades has seen annual visitor numbers rise in protected areas globally. The results of this study suggest that for most of the climate zones examined, changes to future climates have strong potential to influence spatial and temporal patterns of visitation in protected areas across much of Australia.
