Immigration Rates of Plant Species in Three Dutch Polders

Abstract

We describe the immigration rates of plant species from road verges in three large inland polders in The Netherlands. These rates depend on the dis- persal capacities of the species. As a result, the composition of the vegetation is correlated with the age of the road and the distance from the mainland.
