Two new applications of a technique for spaceability are given in this paper. For the first time this technique is used in the investigation of the algebraic genericity property of the weak form of Peano’s theorem on the existence of solutions of the ODE <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" alttext="u prime equals f left-parenthesis u right-parenthesis"> <mml:semantics> <mml:mrow> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>u</mml:mi> <mml:mo>′</mml:mo> </mml:msup> <mml:mo>=</mml:mo> <mml:mi>f</mml:mi> <mml:mo stretchy="false">(</mml:mo> <mml:mi>u</mml:mi> <mml:mo stretchy="false">)</mml:mo> </mml:mrow> <mml:annotation encoding="application/x-tex">u’=f(u)</mml:annotation> </mml:semantics> </mml:math> </inline-formula> on <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" alttext="c 0"> <mml:semantics> <mml:msub> <mml:mi>c</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msub> <mml:annotation encoding="application/x-tex">c_0</mml:annotation> </mml:semantics> </mml:math> </inline-formula>.
