Abstract

Abstract Pyrolysis of the title silicon-containing cyclic triyne gave, by stepwise extrusion of dimethylsilylene, hexamethyltrisilacyclonona-1,4,7-triyne, which was further converted to a novel tris-bridged cyclophane. Fifteen-membered trioxahexasilatriyne, prepared by the oxidation of the title triyne, isomerized to the corresponding benzene derivative thermally.
