Abstract

Results of neutron-diffraction studies of Cr-rich Cr(Fe) alloys are presented. The addition of Fe to Cr lowers the Ne\'el temperature, increases the amplitude of the magnetization wave, and increases the wave vector of the magnetization wave until it becomes commensurate with the chemical periodicity. A first-order phase change is seen in a Cr(2.3% Fe) specimen near 240\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K.
