Abstract

Novel monoanionic tripodal ligands, [MeB(ImN-Me)2(PzR)]− (= methylbis(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)(pyrazol-1-yl)borate), are synthesized; their mode of coordination to a nickel center depends on the steric congestion around the boron centers.
