Fatal overdose of contrast medium in infants

Abstract

Death occurred in two neonatal infants due to overdose of contrast media and severe convulsions developed in a third case. It is suggested that formal dosage schedules for contrast media be established in all X-ray departments to prevent the occurrence of further incidents of this nature.
