Comparison of turbulent fluxes over water determined by profile and eddy correlation techniques

Abstract

Abstract The turbulent fluxes of momentum and heat were determined by the eddy correlation and profile techniques for over water, fetch limited, near neutral conditions. The estimates agree well within the experimental error. The ø 11 technique estimates of stress are systematically higher.
