Results of Immediate Surgical Treatment of All Acute Type A Dissections

Abstract

Immediate surgical treatment of all acute type A dissections with resection of the intimal tear and use of hypothermic circulatory arrest for distal anastomosis results in acceptable early mortality rates and excellent long-term survival.
