Monte Carlo study of dipolar ellipsoids. I. The isotropic phase

Abstract

We present Monte Carlo calculations for the structural, thermodynamic and dielectric properties of the isotropic phase of prolate ellipsoids of revolution with embedded central longitudinal dipole moment. The results are compared with hypernetted chain integral equation predictions.
