Bis(η⁶‐phosphabenzene)vanadium: Synthesis, Structure, Redox Properties, and Conformational Flexibility

Abstract

Metal–ligand condensation was used to prepare the first binary heteroarene complex of a group 15 metal, bis(η6-phosphabenzene)-vanadium (1). It was fully characterized by EPR spectroscopy, X-ray structure analysis, ligand and to the analogous benzene complex, 1 is thermally stable and is very stable toward oxidizing agents.
