SummaryThe radiosensitivity of rat bone-marrow cells was determined by the spleen-colony technique. When the marrow cells were irradiated in vivo, the D0 was 97 rads, and the extrapolation number was 5·2. Similar results were obtained after in vitro irradiation: D0 = 94 rads, and extrapolation number = 4·1. Some observations are also reported on the proliferative capability of irradiated bone-marrow and spleen-colony cells injected into heavily irradiated recipient rats.
