Abstract

The aim of this paper is to compute the total scattering cross section (TSCS) of various targets from a three-dimensional numerical method in reverberation chamber (RC). From a practical point of view, the TSCS measurements combine both free-space environment and multi-stimulations (plane waves). The formalism followed in this contribution is dual and allows predicting the TSCS from few RC simulations. The theory and numerical results presented will show the capability of the method to compute the TSCS from Finite Integration Technique (FIT, CST Microwave Studio®) models. Finally, from electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations, we will put the focus on the interest of the stirrer TSCS.
