Abstract

Patients have considerably more pain with intraarticular needle introduction and injectable hyaluronate therapy than physicians estimate. The RPD reduces patient pain, reduces procedure time, and improves needle introduction compared with the conventional syringe for hyaluronate injection therapy for the knee.
