Abstract

For the crystals TEA 2 ZnCl 4 , TEA 2 MnCl 4 and TEA 2 CuCl 4 , the temperature dependencies of complex dielectric constant were measured in the frequency range 300 Hz 1 1 MHz. The dielectric dispersion, clearly evident in the high-temperature phase in all crystallographic directions, was found to rapidly disappear at the first phase transition. The crystal TEA 2 CuCl 4 shows dispersion in all three phases and the real and imaginary parts of its dielectric constant reach maxima at the second phase transition temperature T 2 C = 199 K. The activation energies of vibrations of the TEA + ions were calculated for the three crystals.
