This paper explores the influence of tumor morphology on backscatter signal characteristics for UWB breast cancer detection. As the resonance scattering phenomenon varies with the border profiles of the lesions, it could be potentially useful for discriminating between malignant and benign masses. Further works would include a more comprehensive discussion on the correlation between resonances and tumor morphologies.
