Abstract

Congestive heart failure is associated with re- duction of renal blood flow and retention of salt and water. The possibility has been raised that these changes may result from the concomitant renal anoxia (1, 2). The present studies are con- cerned with the effect of anoxia on the human kid- ney under situations of normal cardiovascular dynamics.
