The structural elucidation of fritillaria alkaloids from Fritillaria ebeiensis var. purpurea. I. The structures of ebeienine, ebeiedine and ebeiedinone.

Abstract

A novel (22S, 25R)-13, 17-didehydro: 5α-cevanine alkaloid, ebeienine (1), was isolated from the bulbs of Fritillaria ebeiensis var.purpurea, together with (25S)-20-deoxy-5α-cevanin-3, β, 6β-diol (ebeiedine (2)), and (25S)-20-deoxy-5α-cevanin-3α-o1-6-one (ebeiedinone (3)). Their structures were elucidated by physical methods and finally confirmed by X-ray crystal structure determination.
