Setting priorities for nursing research.

Abstract

Through use of the Delphi Technique, nursing administrators, clinical nursing staff, and nursing researchers in Veterans Administration hospitals identified priorities for nursing research. In this article, the authors focus on the research priorities identified by nursing administrators and compare them with those identified by clinical nursing staff and nursing researchers. Their discussion of the results and their implications for future action will aid nursing administrators' efforts to create a climate in which relevant research activities flourish.
