Overweight and Obesity as Risk Indicators for Periodontitis in Adults

Abstract

Obesity was significantly associated with periodontitis in adult, non-smoker women. Overweight was not significantly associated with periodontitis. Smoking may attenuate the association of periodontitis with obesity.
