15) The ratio of silver thiolate and 12 was critical in this reaction.The use of excess silver thiolate decreased the ratio of 13 and Z isomer, and Z isomer was easily lactonized after removal of the protected group.(16) All materials described here gave satisfactory MS, IR, NMR spectra consistent with their structure (supplementary material).
