Paléosols et lœss de Saint-Pierre-lès-Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime)

Abstract

The section of Saint-Pierre-les-Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime), wellknown for its three lœsses attributed to Riss, has in fact four Old Lœsses separated by paleosoils brown leached soils. A comparison between these various paleosoils leads to a requestioning of the stratigraphy of the site.
