Release of fluoride from light cured lining materials

Abstract

Fluoride was extracted from 0.3 ml samples of five different light cured lining materials. From two brands, fluoride concentrations ranging from 5 to 10 ppm were quickly established and maintained. From three other brands only very small amounts of fluoride were released. The fluoride released was related to the possible caries preventive effect.
