Self-reported adherence to medical treatment prior to and during pregnancy among women with ulcerative colitis

Abstract

Adherence was high despite fear of a negative effect on fertility or the fetus. Counseling predicted higher adherence. This may be important because our study suggests an increase in UC activity during pregnancy.
