Abstract

T phosarcoma of the stomach has varied widely.2149 9.10 Survival rates for patients with gastric lymphosarcoma have been reported to be greater than for those with gastric adenocarcinoma, other types of gastric lymphoma,4. lo and lymphoma elsewhere.4 This better prognosis may be incident to the inclusion of patients with gastric lymphoid hyperplasia in population samples of gastric 1ymphosarcoma.Q We define gastric lymphoid hyperplasia as a benign lesion of the stomach with sufficient infiltration of lymphocytes to be confused with malignant lymphoma microscopically. This study is an attempt to establish criteria to distinguish these entities.
