This study identifies the trends and frequency of fog events across the southeastern United States. A simple linear regression was performed on hourly datasets for annual and seasonal fog-event days and on fog duration. Of the 26 stations tested, 12 stations exhibited a decreasing annual trend in fog-event days and two stations experienced increasing annual fog-event days. The majority of Virginia stations displayed significant decreasing numbers of fog-event days for three seasons, and four stations experienced decreasing fog events in all fog-duration categories.
