Abstract

Although I have never made or seen an analysis of the users of medical dictionaries, it is reasonable to assume that a dictionary is used most often by medical secretaries and students in various categories of health professions. Probably the physician uses it least often. As a result, a medical dictionary should be designed to accommodate those using it most frequently. From a review of this dictionary, the current editor and the publishers have combined to make the book quite useful to those most likely to use it. It is a convenient size for placement on the cluttered and limited desk of the secretary or student. It is bound sturdily with a flexible cover. It is well indexed and the type face is easily seen.
