The anomalous behaviour of powdered barium titanate is confirmed by the use of the formula for mixtures. Systematic measurements of the dielectric properties of BaTiO3 have been done for two cases: embedded grains and fine-grained pressed powder. The influence of the size and shape of the grains, and of the method of preparation of the samples, has been studied.
