Interaction of Counter-propagating Self-induced Transparency Solitons

Abstract

Abstract The interaction of counterpropagating self-induced transparency solitons is studied. The pulses' asymptotics after collision depending on the solitons' parameters before collision and the influence of diffusion ‘erasure’ of the population difference gratings on solitons' interaction are determined numerically.
