AbstractAbstractDysfunction of the sacroiliac joint is far more common than has been suspected and may mimic disc disease or give the impression of a multifactorial etiology. Details of the anatomy, biomechanics and pathomechanics are presented enabling clinicians to better understand the function of the sacroiliac joint in different postures and during locomotion. The clinical assessment of sacroiliac dysfunction is presented and suggested treatment techniques are discussed.
