Ionospheric composition and density from 90 to 1200 kilometers at solar minimum

Two independent sets of ionic composition data have been made during the recent solar minimum period. One set, obtained in early 1963, covers the 90–240 km region; the other, obtained in early 1964, covers the 400–1200 km region. These data may be combined to provide an over-all picture of the solar minimum daytime ionosphere. The composite picture that emerges is shown in Figure 1.
