Off-diagonal distributions fixed by diagonal partons at small<i>x</i>and<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mi>ξ</mml:mi></mml:math>

Abstract

We show that the off-diagonal (or skewed) parton distributions are completely determined at small x and $\ensuremath{\xi}$ by the (conventional) diagonal partons. We present predictions which can be used to estimate the off-diagonal distributions at small x and $\ensuremath{\xi}$ at any scale.
