Serum Leucine Aminopeptidase Activity in Normal Pregnancy and in Patients with Hydatidiform Mole

Abstract

IN the course of investigating the rise in serum leucine aminopeptidase activity in pregnancy previously reported by Green et al.,1 we found that the activity in patients with hydatidiform mole was no higher than that in normal controls.Although the hydatidiform mole is a comparatively rare disease (occurring once in every 2500 pregnancies),2 it may present a diagnostic dilemma during the first trimester of pregnancy.
